-Stop-Animation Experiment-
This was
part of a demonstration/tutorial I prepared for Telecommunity.
The students had an interest in traditional forms of
animation, so I worked on a few examples using objects
around the house.
While digging
around the basement for 'test subjects' I came across
a couple of stress-relief toys, shaped like traffic and
construction objects. Inspired, my objective in this
example was to show what variety you can get using organization
and symmetry. The music used is a piece I like to call "Submerged".
The end result is somthing fun and goofy like you would
find on Sesame Street... Enjoy!

-Cat Food Commercial-
Experiment
in Commercial/Advertising.. I shot everything in a few
hours, most of that time spent chasing my co-stars *Elmer,
Spider and Buffy* all over the house trying to get them
to "act.". Editing took less than a day, and
the voice-over and music was created in less than an
hour. So there you go... a cat food commercial done in
2 days. Enjoy:)

Puppet
in
Morte
|
-Stop-animation
art film -
Puppet
in Morte was an independant project I started about a
year ago, mostly as an experiment in stop-motion animation
using a wooden art figure. When Synthesia,
my music and multimedia concert, came around, I decided
to put the existing clips to music. Tintinabulations,
a piece for marimba and MalletKAT, became the perfect
soundtrack to the insanity which is Puppet In Morte.

the
Bird Machine
|
- Music Concret
Art Film -
Accompanying
footage to my music concret piece, The Bird Machine.
The recording itself is comprised of sound effects from
machinery and nature... To listen to the soundtrack by
itself without visuals leaves much up to the imagination.
This footage was made primarily to go along with a live
performance of the peice during my concert, Synthesia
2004. The imagery includes collages I created
from photographs of my first trip to Toronto. This film
does not portray the actual story intended by the recording,
however I plan to do an actual animated film in the near
future, using stop-animation techniques and odd materials.
